Saturday November 12, 2011 10am is the Semper Fi Society of St.Louis’ United States Marine Corps Birthday Luncheon held at the Downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel under the Arch. The event is open to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped to to help the Marines Toys for Tots program. I will be there Representing Homes for Heroes and USA Cares. Keller Williams Realty has also teamed up with the Marines and is and all four St.Louis Offices are approved drop off locations. Please stop by the Sunset Hills, Kirkwood, Chesterfield or St Charles locations and help the Marines by dropping off a new unwrapped Toy for Tots! Happy Birthday Marines and Happy Veterans Day to all who serve, have served and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

VA to Cover Extra Costs Amid Home Loan Confusion

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will cover extra costs for veterans who struck deals on home loans and faced the possibility of higher fees amid confusion over a federal law change, the agency said Saturday.

Real Estate Sales up in St. Charles County!

According to the  St. Charles County Association of Realtors Real Estate is moving in St. Charles County!! Sales in August were up 25% over August of 2010, and 21% higher than sales in July of this year.  It is a great time to buy a home!!

Perhaps it’s time we focus on the positive instead of the negative.  It is a buyers market so take advantage of it and buy if you’re in the Real Estate Market.  The money you save if you’re buying up in the market will more than off set the reduced value of your existing property you are selling.  After all the one you are buying is cheaper than it’s been in years and the interest rate you will likely get is probably lower than it’s been in your life time!  Think about it… The new one is the one you want to keep and it’s never been this affordable even when it was cheaper!!!

Realtor.com: List prices holding steady or posting gains in two-thirds of markets By INMAN NEWS Inventories of homes, condos, townhouses and co-ops shrank for the fourth month in a row in August, falling 1.9 percent from July and 19 percent from a year ago, to 2.27 million, according to the latest numbers from Realtor.com.

Ganjgal Valley, he was sure he wouldn’t come out alive.”I don’t think
there was ever a question in my mind if I was going to die,” Meyer said.
“It was just when.”

Inside the narrow valley, Taliban insurgents were dug into the high ground
and hidden inside a village, pouring down deadly fire at Afghan forces and
their American advisers. Armed militants swarmed the low ground to try to
finish off the troops.
